The Mountain of Clarity:
A Yin & Breathwork Journey
Chiang Rai, Thailand
July 17–20, 2026

Two Perspectives.
Two Masteries.
One Extraordinary Return to Self.

High above the mist-covered jungles of Chiang Rai sits Phu Chaisai—the "Mountain of Slow Life." Here, the air is cleaner, the silence is deeper, and the world feels miles away. This July, we invite you to a bilingual, four-day breathwork and yoga immersion designed to strip away the mental "noise" of modern life and replace it with crystalline clarity.

Forget the crowded beaches. We are retreating to the lush, tropical jungle of Northern Thailand.

❋ The Setting: A Sanctuary in the Clouds

Practice in an open-air pavilion surrounded by deep, verdant green jungle and the sounds of tropical birds

❋ Pure Oxygen and Lush Immersion

Led by two experienced guides who know how to hold space, encourage participation, and keep things moving with purpose.

❋ Expert Facilitation

❋ Bilingual / Multi-Cultural

All sessions are held in both English and Japanese, creating a diverse, international community of practitioners.

The Power of the Union

In the space where Japanese mindfulness meets Western physiological precision, transformation happens. Join Chiharu and Adrian Cox for a retreat that balances the stillness of Yin Yoga with the transformative power of Breathwork.

  • Yin Yoga with Chiharu: Untangle the knots in the body and energy. Through deep, meditative postures, Chiharu guides you to release the "bodily memories" and emotional tension that cloud your daily perception.

  • Breathwork with Adrian: Change your relationship with your breath to change your relationship with your life. Utilizing the pure, oxygen-rich mountain air, Adrian leads you through sessions designed to reset the nervous system and unlock a level of mental clarity rarely found in the lowlands.

The Location
Phuchaisai Mountain Resort

Located in the misty mountains of Northern Thailand, Phu Chaisai is an eco-award-winning resort designed for deep healing and stress release. The crisp mountain air and quiet environment help bridge the gap between body and mind, leading to profound peace and restorative sleep.

Imagine waking up in your private cottage, stepping onto the terrace, and drawing in the unspoiled air of the valley. Here, as you gaze across the endless verdant peaks, the weight of the world simply fades away.

  • Private Cottages: Wake up to valley views and unspoiled mountain air.

  • Gourmet Wellness Meals: Farm-to-table dining with local, organic ingredients.

  • Free Time: Explore local Hill Tribe culture, the Golden Triangle, or the resort spa.

The Green Season

Our retreat will be during the ‘Green Season’ when afternoon rains and evening thundershowers are frequent, but usually short in duration. The air is humid and the forests are lush and green; there are fewer tourists and prices are lower. The average daily high temperature is 30 C with cool evenings, about 20 C. Many guests consider this the best time to visit Chiang Rai

Yin Yoga with Chiharu

Chiharu is a beloved yin yoga teacher trainer, with a focus on healing and energy. As the founder of the Japan Yin Yoga Association, she has students throughout Thailand, Japan, and globally through her online programs. Her husband is Adrian Cox, a yoga teacher and the founder of Yoga Elements and BreathYoga.

Message

After experiencing physical and mental illness that began in my early teens and made life difficult for nearly 25 years, I realized I couldn't continue living like this and, as a last resort, I tried meditation.

I felt a dramatic release from my own mind and for the first time I realized the answer was not outside, but within me.

After that, I learned various energy work and healing techniques, initially with the goal of healing myself, and then I began sharing my work in the hope that it would be of some help to others who were suffering in the same way.

While trying to calm my mind through meditation, I realized the importance of the connection between the body and mind, and of grounding the body, so I started yoga. After trying out various styles of yoga, I found that Yin Yoga was the one.

Meditation untangles the knots in the mind, and Yin Yoga untangles the knots in the body and energy. When everything is untangled and reset, we reunite with our original, radiant selves.

When you relax and regain your radiant self, the answer to the question, "Who am I?" will naturally become clear.

Breathwork with Adrian Cox

From Seattle, USA originally and since he began teaching yoga in 1999, Adrian left the US to found the Yoga Elements school of yoga in Bangkok. Yoga Elements was one of the first yoga centers in Thailand and during its 18 years of operation, it garnered a highly esteemed reputation for quality. It was described as “Easily Bangkok’s best studio” by Travel and Leisure (25 Top Yoga Studios Around the World) and as “Bangkok’s most inspiring place to study yoga” by Bangkok Post (reader choice awards). He has taught workshops, and trainings worldwide, and was featured at the Yoga Journal conferences in Moscow and Bangkok.

Message

Congruency is the most powerful message I communicate. I teach what I practice. A daily practice of yoga, breathing, and meditation for 25 years. My insatiable curiosity and drive for learning has opened the world to me, and led me to learn with many masters. I am passionate about what I do.

Breathing is our birthright, and changing your relationship with breath can make it easier to be more of the person you want to be, when you need to be. Over centuries and longer, different approaches to understanding and working with breath have emerged. I’ve studied those disciplines for decades, and integrated them into the work I do with BreathYoga. I welcome you to a journey of healing and transformation.
